The word ”Conserve” is derived from the Greek Conserver that means “to preserve” and stands for a condition that a food can be kept in for a long time.
This is invented by Nicolas Appert during the war between France and other European Countries in 1790.
Nicolas Appert was an employee of a beer producing company before that. Then he opened a confectionary shop and started to study and examine different ways of keeping the foods. He made a conclusion in 1798 that if the edible food gets heated in a vacuum lacuna, it can be kept for a pretty long time. After that can making industry experienced so many other events. The most important ones are as follow:
-Industrial production of can in 1820
-Cans in metal lacunas in 1823
-Sterile cans for longer lasting in 1874
The first can making factory in Iran started to work in Bandar Abbas in 1316 to produce canned tuna.
Canned tuna has been one of the most simple and delicious meals of people for years. This product has had many developments in field of producing and packing from the first existence in Iran. There are many companies producing canned tuna in Iran and each of them has taken a significant step for the growth of this industry.
Behsheidan protein Production Company was founded by Mr. Asghar Hosseini Khorasgani in 1375 in Iran and former the Pegahe Esfahan (Sikaro) company was founded under the same management because of the great need of the country for keeping foods for a long time during the imposed war and also personal interest started to operate in 1368.
Behsheidan Company has chosen the brand name of Sheidan for its products. This firm with more than 13 years background in this field and with rather than 25 years of managing experience and credit, nowadays consider as the greatest canned tuna producing factory in Iran and one of the most popular and known brand among people .This company is trying to expand the fields of its activities and achieve to more honor for our country and itself.
Behsheidan factory has about 200 employees and more than 25000 MT/year capacities for producing canned tuna by various flavors. Behsheidan believes that its honors and successes for exporting to more than 10 countries are owe to God kindness and people’s warm support from Sheidan products.
